VETERANS LAND BOARD
Veterans living in Texas are usually
aware that they can use their VA benefits to obtain a no down
payment loan to buy a home or other real estate. But what many
don't know is that a separate entity called the
Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) also
helps veterans living in Texas to obtain loans at extra
favorable rates and issues those loans using very
accommodating qualifying guidelines.
LOAN
PROGRAMS FOR VETERANS IN TEXAS
At the time of this writing, the VLB had
a base loan rate for new veteran home buyers of 4.25%! This is
substantially less than the rate that is currently offered
through the usual conventional channels. This rate qualifies
for new construction, resale homes, houses with land in the
country, land for modular homes and other types of Texas real estate.
In addition to the base rate loan, the
VLB is also offering the following programs to qualified
veterans:
1) Troops to
Teachers Discount - additional .50% discount
2) Veterans with
Disabilities Discount - additional .50% discount
3) Service era
Discount - .76% discount
