THE CITY OF FRISCO

The City of Frisco is located in west Collin County and east Denton County, approximately 25 miles north of downtown Dallas. As of October 1, 2003, the estimated population was over 61,000, which is significant given that the population was only 6,141 in 1990. It is projected that the population will increase to over 137,000 by 2013.

 While the majority of retail and commercial development in Frisco is concentrated around the Preston Road and S.H. 121 interchange, which includes Stonebriar Centre Mall and the Centre at Preston Ridge, non-residential development is occurring throughout the City.

 The City of Frisco is becoming a regional sports venue with the addition of a minor league baseball stadium, Dallas Stars Practice and Junior League Hockey Arena (Dr Pepper StarCenter), and by 2005 the Dallas Burn Stadium and Soccer Complex, which will all be within a few miles of one another along the Dallas North Tollway corridor.

 The residential home sales market is and continues to be strong with over 2,700 single-family residential new home building permits issued over the last year. The majority of the residential new construction development has occurred west of the Dallas North Tollway
